Hello All!

 

I'm so glad you stopped by. As a pastor's wife I have opportunities to minister to so many women. I not only get to pray with women but I also get to share my testimony through speaking and singing. I have a passion to lead in worship and get to do that quite often as well. Together we pray, cry, laugh, and rejoice. There are seasons for all things and when we women can come together and share in those seasons somehow life just seems a little sweeter.

"It is bad to suppress laughter.

It goes back down and spreads to your hips."


After reading this quote it really made sense as to why my hips were so big! I have been suppressing laughter! (If only!) I wish I had been created with a sense of humor. It usually takes me a few minutes to "get" things, I often over analyze everything, and most people end up laughing at me because of it.


The three men I live with are very quick and witty. They banter back and forth and I often feel left out of their ability to be so humorous and their ability to come up with things so quickly. There are those occasions when I jump in with something I feel is funny - but most of the time it never works out. There are also those times when I stand and watch them roll on the floor from laughter while I stare and try to figure out why it was so funny.



 

Baseball has a language of its own and I must admit that I have no clue what people are talking about when I hear certain phrases. I have sat and watched my son play many games and I am still learning the lingo. My son loves to play baseball. He definitely has "wheels" (a ball player's legs) he is fast and has often been called in to run for others.

When I think of a "can of corn" I don't think of an easy fly ball caught by a fielder. A "Dish" doesn't remind me of home plate. And when I want a "cup of coffee" I don't mean a minor league player coming up to the major league club for a short period and then being sent back down to the minors, I mean a real cup of coffee.  Rain Down
 
When I first moved to Colorado it felt as if it rarely rained. It just doesn't rain here - I thought. I missed the smell of the rain - the sound of the rain - and the freshness that it brought. Well this year we have certainly had our fill of rain. I love it! It means less watering and less of a water bill.

For some reason (and possibly due to the rain ) I woke up this morning singing, "Rain Down your love on me! Rain down your love!" If you know the song you will recognize the lyrics.
